ESL Classes
There are two types of groups where you can learn English as a Second Language at St. Christopher House:
ESL Classes
St. Christopher House, in Co-operation with Toronto District School Board, offers a variety of English Classes to Adults. All of the classes are located at St. Christopher House, 248 Ossington Avenue.

Eligibility
Canadian Citizens, Immigrants, Refugees, Refugee Claimants, Ministers Permit, Work Permit
Please bring identification with you:
- Permanent Resident
- Acknowledgement of Intent to Claim (Refugee Status)
- Refugee Claimant
- Convention Refugee
- Landed Immigrant
- Canadian Citizenship
- Minister’s Permit (with valid date)
You may go directly to the class to register
Cost
High Beginner: $15 for the first 4 months; $10 for every 4 months after that.
ESL Tutoring /Settlement Groups
Trained volunteers will help you improve your individual language skills within a flexible time schedule. The small goup format provides an opportunity to:
- improve your English language skills
- learn more about settlement and community resources
- learn about Canadian culture in a supportive environment
- meet new people
- participate in the community.
