Summer 08 Registration Information

Children's Community Choir and the Toronto Song Lovers' Choir will not rehearse in the summer but will resume in the fall.

Summer term 2008

Summer term starts Monday, June 30 and runs for 5 weeks.  Lessons take place Monday to Friday.  There are no Saturday lesson in the summer term.  Registration takes place in the Music School office at 248 Ossington Ave and is done through Sherry Squires, Music School coordinator.

Registration for new students for the summer term will be:

Monday, June 24 from 4:00-7:00

Thursday, June 27 from 4:00-6:00

Returning students who want summer lessons must let the Music School office know no later than Friday, June 20th in order to keep your spot.  Lessons are arranged through Sherry and not the teacher.  This may be done through appointment or by showing up diring these times:

Tuesday, June 17 from 4:00-6:00

Monday, June 23 from 5:00-7:00

Students not wishing to study during the summer are kept on our student list and are notified about fall registration in August.

The After School Opera Program does not run in the summer term.  For information about the Canadian Opera Company's summer programs please call Daniella at 416-306-2377 or check out their web site at coc.ca.

Additional Registration Information

Registration for returning students:

  • ALL FEES for the term should be paid at registration (before classes start).  But at least half the term must be paid before the term begins.  The other half is to be paid at mid-term.  An alternative payment plan can be worked out with the Coordinator at time of registration.
  • Returning students (who have been with the school a year or more) who receive subsidy must provide proof of income if you wish to continue receiving assistance.  (see Financial assistance).
  • No assistance can be given without documents.  Returning students who have been here for less than a year will be reassessed for subsidy at the end of their first year.
  • Please make cheques payable to St. Christopher House.
  • All payments are made through the reception at 248 Ossington.  They accept cheques (post-dated too) and cash and will issue a receipt.
  • The Music School office does not take unscheduled appointments.  Please call ahead.

Registration for new students:

  • You will fill out a short registration form with basic contact information. 
  • If you wish to apply for financial assistance (subsidy) you must bring proof of income. (see Financial assistance) and fill out an assessment form.  Subsidy cannot be granted without these two things.  Proof of income could be a T4 slip, a copy of a cheque stub.  (This would be the income of the household so you may need more than one document).
  • Lesson time and date will be mutually decided at registration with the Coordinator.
