Who We Are
Who We Are
The Employment Preparation Program is a free holistic employment assistance program funded by Employment Ontario.
Our Goal
We assist people in reaching their training and employment goals. We also work with employers to help them meet their workforce needs.
How It Works
Over a period of up to 20 weeks, we provide a combination of one-to-one appointments with an Employment Specialist and workshops on job search and related topics. First, we will sit down with you and work on a Service Plan based on your needs. We help you to address such needs as:
-
career planning
-
vocational assessment
-
exploration of training options, including training referrals and Second Career applications and Self Employment Benefit Program applications
-
resume and cover letter preparation
-
job search skills development
-
interview preparation
-
job leads, assistance connecting with employers and job coaching
-
information and referrals to other community services
-
access to a job board, computers, photocopiers, fax and telephone
-
access to other career-related resources
-
assistance obtaining transportation, voicemail, and work/interview clothing for those who qualify
