Introduction to the FOCUS Challenge Game
The FOCUS Challenge Game is a life-sized interactive game that targets six important life issues that most children and young adults will face in their life. These issues include: smoking, alcohol, drugs, the human body, the environment and violence/injury prevention. Through a series of questions and group discussions, students receive up-to-date information, obtain co-operative skills and learn the importance of life decisions. The goal of the FOCUS Challenge Game is to equip young adults with the skills they will need to face any difficult occurrences that they might come across in their young lives and to make well-educated decisions.
The game takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete and is best delivered in a gym setting. The FOCUS Challenge Game usually takes place in a the spring months in various schools throughout the Parkdale region.
