Financial Literacy Workshops

We deliver following financial literacy workshops in collaboration with our partner agencies.

1. Budgeting and Money management

Basics of money management to e.g. need for saving, how to make a simple budget and cut down expenses. The objective is to empower people to take control of their finances and move towards their financial goals. We also touch upon goal setting.

       Approximate time : 2 to 3 hours.

2. SMART Banking

How to access basic banking services, select the account and service that is appropriate for their needs, save on bank service fees and deal with credit and credit cards to your advantage

Approximate time : 1 to 2 hours.
 

3. Income Tax and Benefits

Who all file a tax return, why it is necessary to file a tax return, benefits, RRSP and RESP. We also touch upon income security programs.

Approximate time  : 1 to 2 hours.
 

4. Consumer Awareness.

How to read the fine print and recognize scams, frauds and misleading advertising. How to avoid financial traps and what to do if victim of fraud

Approximate time : 1 to 2 hours


* Each workshop can be customized to the needs of the participants in terms of time and content.
