Scoff 'n Scuff

In Newfoundland and Labrador, a "Scoff 'n' Scuff" means dinner and dance.  This fund raising event celebrates Newfoundland culture and features traditional music, stories,  as well as some not so traditional entertainment.  Our event in 2012 marks our 13th anniversary.  The event will take place at St. Christopher House at 248 Ossington Avenue on Saturday, May 12, 2011 at 7:30 in the Community Hall.  All money raised will benefit the Music School.

The show is on May 12 at 7:30 in the Community Hall at 248 Ossington Ave. (at Dundas). 

Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors

At the door tickets are $25 for adults and 415 for students and seniors.

Performers include:  Merasheen- Dean Burry on vocals, guitar, accordion, whistle, mountain dulcimer and bodhran, Paul Bradbury on bass, vocals and guitar, David Winsor on mandolin, violin, vocals, bodhran and bones and Sherry Squires on guitar, ugly stick, and vocals.

Denise Norman- local actor and singer

Kira Shepherd- harp and voice

The Norman Fishing Tackle Choir- aka The Toronto Song Lovers

Breanna Pett-Moore- tin whistle

And more........

There will be a cash bar and snack food.

If you cannot join us but would like to support the Music School  please consider purchasing a ticket for one of our participants.

 Tickets are available through reception at 248 Ossington.  You can also email sherrysq@stchrishouse.org or call the Music School at 416-532-4828 x127 to reserve tickets at the advance price.  Or you can purchase tickets at the door the evening of the event.
