Event Descriptions

Throughout the year there are four FOCUS special events that include social activities and community celebrations which contribute to community building and decreasing isolation.  The events are put on in partnership with other service providers.  The events allow recent immigrants and area residents to connect with their neighbours and feel safer in their community.  Each event offers staff the opportunity to distribute materials and information regarding alcohol and drug prevention, injury prevention and the effects of alcohol and drug dependence and chronic diseases.
