closing and next steps

Shelley:

Well, we just want to quickly let you know that our team will finish compiling your web site and you should look for a cd on Monday morning. Randall will distribute them to everyone.  We’re also sending the cast iron frying pan back to St. Christopher House with you as a memory and to keep your enthusiasm for the project. Thanks for all of your hard work. It has been a pleasure to work with you.

The Working Group:

We are really happy and delighted at the way this has worked out. We have a ton of great information to work with. We have a long road full of collaborative design with you.  And we’re excited about designing something great that St. Christopher House will be very happy with.

Sandy:

I want to say, to all the staff that came out for this event, thanks for the enormous commitment. For not being with your programs yesterday, and for not being with your families today to be here to make this happen, thank you. It’s been a challenge to come to consensus with the enormous range of talents and skills and the diversity of people and programs in this room, but the hard work was worth it. Thanks for everything and I hope you’ll leave feeling satisfied. It’s been great.

I really want to say most particularly, thanks to Randall. He has an incredible ability to motivate people he’s a great sport and enormous thanks to you Randall.

If The Working Group could come up to the front of the room, please.  I have to thank these wonderful guys. Derek Dominic, Jonathon, Darcy and Cameron. You’ve been so helpful and enormously reassuring. Special thanks go to Derek, who made the connection with CGEY, which has been incredible.

We assume that ‘computer people’ usually forget about the people part of things and you’ve ensured that the meetings that needed to happen did and are very conscious of the people connections within St. Christopher House. You’ve said you’d do it since day one and you did. Enormous thanks.

To the facilitation team, the time, the skill, the two days and the one hundred hours of planning time that you’ve donated was invaluable.  I want to tell you, when I went to university, I took my parents old portable typewriter. I started out before any of this technology. Before any of this was possible.  There are a few of us here, and this is beyond what we’ve ever imagined. You’ve bridged this for us in incredible ways. This is a transformation into a realm we hadn’t even thought was possible. We will be able to communicate with the community and they with us in a way we never thought possible.

Thanks.
