The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a group of 12 to 15 youth ages 14 to 19.  The Youth Advisory Committee advises the FOCUS program on outreach to youth, getting the message out about alcohol and drug awareness, risky behaviour, making healthy choices, injury prevention and drinking and driving.  The outreach is done by word of mouth, specific promotional activities, school assemblies, presentations, workshops, videos and the 'Zine' magazine for youth.  YAC members work directly with program staff on how to best deliver programs, developing promotional materials and program evaluation.
