Congratulations to our Volunteers!
I would like to share the news that five of our volunteers were awarded with Ontario Service Awards on Tuesday evening, June 13th 2006, for their volunteer contribution at St. Christopher House!
Ernesto Paparella, who has volunteered with our New Hope Drop-In Program for the past 5 years, is in the first photo with his certificate. The second photo features our five other award winners, from left to right - Jose Ferreira has been a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer since 1985 and also has been a volunteer with our seniors Income Tax program for the past five years. Natercia Correia has been a volunteer with our Friendly Visiting, EPC and Seniors Community Development Program for the past five years. Grace Silva has also been a volunteer with our Friendly Visiting, EPC and Seniors Community Development Program for the past five years. Gus Teotino has been a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer for the past nine years. And last but not least, Elspeth Thomson has been a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer for the past fourteen years.
We want to thank these six volunteers for their dedication and commitment to volunteering – you are amazing!
