We provide ongoing training workshops to our volunteers so that they can succeed in their volunteer positions as well as learn new skills that will benefit their professional and personal growth. Topics covered in our training workshops include:

• conflict resolution
• diversity and anti-oppression training
• personal growth through volunteering
• working with seniors
• community development
• cross-cultural communication
• facilitation and public speaking

For each of these workshops, we provide a certificate to all those who participate.
     When you join us as a volunteer, you will also have the opportunity to be a part of our St Chris information listserve, so that you will always be kept informed about what is happening and what opportunities exist at St Chris.
     We also believe that networking and developing community begins with our volunteers. We host a number of social gatherings throughout the year for volunteers to get to know one another and have fun.
     After 6 months of volunteering, we are happy to provide a personalized reference letter, which can be helpful for future job searches. Some exceptions may apply.
