Hats In Parkdale
Seniors and youth will develop and deliver theatre performances on seniors' and youth health and well-being (i.e. substance abuse, chronic disease prevention, problem gambling and street safety). The plays will be digitalized and posted online, making them available to people outside the community. This project will foster healthy intergenerational communication by creating opportunities for seniors and youth to share their life experiences, wisdom and knowledge. It will also help reduce social isolation of seniors from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in the Parkdale area.
This project "HATS in Parkdale" is funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program - Social Development Canada in partnerships with the Ontario Ministry of Health and the City of Toronto.
