Free Ongoing Activities include:
Friendly Visiting and Phone Reassurance
Volunteers promote companionship and support through one-on-one home visits and/or regular phone calls to seniors in the community.Provided in several languages depending on volunteer resources available.
Learning Clubs for Seniors
Computer Club
With the help of a volunteer, participants spend an hour per week talking, learning about computers, surfing the Internet, and playing Wii games.
Languages available are:
Portuguese and English: Mondays + Thursdays from 3 - 4 pm
Vietnamese: 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 12-1 pm
Portuguese language club
With help from a volunteer facilitator, participants spend one hour per week exchanging knowledge and ideas aiming to improve their Portuguese literacy skills by helping each other in friendly environments.
Tuesdays from 3 - 4 pm
