Seniors at St. Chris

The Older Adult Centre (OAC) provides programs for adults 55 years of age and over, and persons with disabilities. All programs offered by the OAC promote independence and participation. In addition to participating in the more structured programs, participants have the opportunity to become involved in health and wellness programs, leadership development, coalitions and community development initiatives.

Many of the OAC programs enjoy a high level of volunteer participation of both program members and community residents. Multilingual staff, as well as trained and supervised volunteers, provide services in a culturally sensitive manner.

Most programs are offered at 248 Ossington Ave. This location, at the corner of Dundas Street, in the heart of diverse multi-ethnic neighbourhoods, is well served by public transportation and is wheelchair accessible. Some services are also offered at the clients homes and at two other locations: 20 & 25 West Lodge and 1447 King St. West
