Introduction to Social Work
CLIENT AND FAMILY SERVICES
Client and Family Services is committed to enabling seniors, persons with disabilities, and their families and caregivers, to maintain as independent and as healthy a life in their own communities as they are able. The philosophical approach to our work centers on providing opportunities for clients to participate in decisions related to their quality of life and directing their own care.
Our catchment area is made up of diverse ethno-racial communities and our multilingual staff provides service in English, Cantonese, Portuguese and Vietnamese. We assist individuals who are 55 years of age or older or who have a disability and live within our catchment area, Bloor to the Lake and University to Roncesvalles. There is no fee for service.
For all service requests for Older Adult Centre programs contact Intake, a part of the
Client and Family Services department. This can be done by contacting St. Christopher House at 416-532-4828 and asking for the Intake worker.
